Make-Your-Own-Beret in Paris

Become a French Fashion Designer for a Day…

Welcome to the trendy Canal St. Martin. Where Paris goes out to shop…then out to play.

In this chic atelier we we will enjoy a vaunted French tradition–the apero. A glass of wine or coffee + little snack while we get to know each other. We Parisians aren’t that efficient, we enjoy life, then we work! (But when we do, the world takes notice!)

Parfait for bachelor/-ette, Team-building events, parties…

Find your unique, Parisian style over laughs and a, ‘cheers’…

✰ Hear the amazing history of the French Beret ✰

✰ Pick your fabric or leather ✰

✰ Enjoy a charming experience with fellow travelers ✰

✰ Decorate your creation at our Bar à Deco and pose for your polaroid ✰

Time to get to work! Select your fabric from felt, leather, (or other, unexpected, finds from the upcycling fabric shops) while we sketch out your unique design as a keepsake. We show you how to make it (mostly) yourself, with our expert guidance. Then, the embellishments — the finishing touches from our ‘bar des accoutrements’…feathers, beads, crystals, patches, pins, who knows what Paris will inspire you to design!

We source our fabrics and leathers from upcycling fabric outlets that distribute the unused fabrics from notable fashion houses.

A fun, lighthearted ‘atelier’–our attitude is convivial + welcoming, no fashion victims or snobs here! The new Paris is still chic AF but it also has wide-open attitude…a warm, sharing spirit. Take home your piece of today’s Paris…it’s a different place than before.

Et voilà! Your own beret, Made in Paris 😉

Are you ready to make French fashion yours?

✰ In approximately 2.5 hours we will guide you to design, make, and place the finishing touches on your own French beret. We offer felts, tweeds, jean, and other fabrics as well as leather as an upgrade for 25€. Deco includes feathers, pins, bows, beads, sequins, and random freaky things we find at the fabric wholesalers.

We are able to accommodate up to 15 guests for a private event and 8 for public events.

✰ Every day at 10:30am and 3pm we host public workshops. Private events are more flexible and are available upon request.

Good to Know

No sewing experience is necessary — we will guide you and make sure it looks ‘très chic‘ to wear on the streets of Paris and at home. If you would like to book a spot for children under 12, please choose the ‘book privately’ option or contact us for a time slot if the one you desire is not available.
